Seventy-two years of Keeping Buildings Warm and Dry

Edwards Sales Corporation was founded in Minneapolis, MN, in 1954 by father-and-son duo Ed Schlamp and Ed Schlamp Jr. (hence Edwards Sales: plural!). The company began as an independent distributor for the Dow Chemical Company’s newest invention: Styrofoam™ Brand Extruded Polystyrene Insulation. We quickly evolved from distributing Styrofoam™ to being a full-service independent representative agency for Dow, partnering with regional and national distribution partners to create and service an emerging market for better building envelope solutions and better buildings.

Along the way, our product lines expanded to include sealants, coatings, and other weatherization products, many of which we proudly continue to represent and service today. We’ve continued to enhance our product offerings and services along the way to include weather resistive barriers, high-performance insulation fasteners and cladding attachment systems, architectural facades (including solar panel facades), waterproofing and roofing membranes, spray foam insulation systems, and more.

The harsh climate in the upper Midwest being what it is, our mission for over 70 years has been “Keeping Buildings Warm and Dry.” The products we choose to represent help further that goal, and the staff here at Edwards Sales who represent them believe in that mission.

Today, we represent numerous building envelope products across a territory in the Upper Midwest that includes North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, the western side of the U.P. of Michigan, and down into Iowa and Nebraska. Our staff of 10 full-time sales and technical specialists are headquartered in Chaska, Minnesota, with remote offices in Northern Minnesota and Wisconsin.
